The stipends for Ukrainian media and journalists:
Public Interest Journalism Lab (PIJL) and European Centre for Press and Media Freedom (ECPMF) launch a new phase of the Stipends support project

Public Interest Journalism Lab (PIJL), in cooperation with European Centre for Press and Media Freedom (ECPMF), announces a new phase of the Open Call for applications from the independent regional media and journalists in Ukraine.

 

The Stipends project is implemented within the framework of the Voices of Ukraine support program. The program, led by the European Centre for Press and Media Freedom, is part of the Hannah-Arendt-Initiative and is funded by the German Federal Foreign Office.

Who can apply:

  • independent regional media outlets from the regions that are most affected by the hostilities, in particular the displaced ones, from Donetsk, Luhansk, Dnipropetrovsk, Sumy, Chernihiv, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, Mykolaiv, Odessa regions;

  • Ukrainian media outlets and journalists in different emergency situations.

 

Required conditions:

  • you should have the professional experience of not less than 2 years;

  • to be located on the territory of Ukraine;

  • to create your own journalistic content of the public interest.

 

This is an opportunity to receive the support of 900 Euros monthly during this year (in UAH equivalent by the current currency exchange rate), with a total amount of 4500-7200 Euros.

The deadline for applications is on August 24, 2024.
