The Reckoning Project: Ukraine Testifies is an initiative of Ukrainian and international
reporters, analysts, and researchers dedicated to pursuing true justice and accountability.

Co-Founder, Editor

Ukrainian journalist specializing in foreign affairs and conflict reporting. Author of books «The Lost Island: Tales From The Occupied Crimea» and «The Maidan Tahrir» on the Arab Spring.


Ganna Silayeva

Deputy Editor For Research

Over 20 years in journalism. Has worked in Kharkiv for local, national and international media. As a producer has implemented the regional reform of the Kharkiv branch of Ukrainian Public Broadcaster Suspilne.


Lyuba Knorozok

Film and Media Producer

Among her latest film projects are «Chornobyl 22» by Oleksiy Radynski (Grand Prix at Kurzfilmtage Oberhausen) and «Forever-Forever» by Anna Buryachkova (World Premiere at the Venice Film Festival, Main Prize at the FilmFestival Cottbus)


Anna Tsyhyma

Director and Cinematographer

A documentary filmmaker and Lead director of the Public Interest Journalism Lab. She has reported on the war in Ukraine since 2014. Author of documentaries devoted to human rights and political prisoners, including «The Hospital That Was Taken Hostage», and «Kramatorsk Station » created within The Reckoning Project.


Kostiantyn Korobov

Editor For Research

Has worked in the newsrooms of top Ukrainian TV channels covering international news for over a decade. Worked as a lead story editor with various TV projects and international media.


Yevheniia Vasylieva

Project Assistant

Worked on youth policy development in Avdiivka and Donetsk region, in teams of local NGOs. In 2022, she moved to Kyiv and joined the team of the Public Interest Journalism Lab as a project coordinator.

Human rights reporter and investigator in conflict zones, author of nine books, documentary filmmaker, Human Rights Fellow at Yale Law School, and associate of the United Nations.


Peter Pomerantsev

Executive Editor

Author and former TV producer specializing in the relationship between propaganda, culture, and society. Aims to repress disinformation and polarization in the digital era as a Director of the Arena Initiative at the SNF Agora Institute at Johns Hopkins University.


Ibrahim Olabi

 Chief Legal Counsel

Barrister, public speaker, and person of influence with specialized international law knowledge and experience focused on the Middle East.


Raji Abdul Salam

Chief Legal Data Archivist

Legal data archive analyst with experience in documenting and investigating war crimes, crimes against humanity, and attempted genocides in Syria and Iraq.

Oleh Baturin

Investigative journalist from Kakhovka, Kherson region, currently working in exile. Specialized in investigative journalism in the field of human rights violations on temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine and corruption.

In 2016-2019, she worked at the Center for Investigative Journalism of Ukraine project at Channel 24. Headed the communications department at Amnesty International Ukraine. 


Iryna Musii

Investigative journalist and analyst with a focus on gender equality, women's rights, and the rights of various groups. Author of in-depth investigations into political corruption within government and city councils. Covers sensitive topics related to the war, displaced persons, and other war-affected groups.


Angelina Kariakina

Documentary filmmaker and media manager. Co-founder of the Public Interest Journalism Lab and General Producer of News at Ukrainian Public Broadcaster Suspilne. Has worked as a reporter and editor with printed media and TV for over 15 years.


Oleksiy Radynski

Filmmaker and writer based in Kyiv. Author of documentaries «Chornobyl 22» (Grand Prix at Kurzfilmtage Oberhausen) and «Infinity According to Florian» (Kinokolo Prize). Researches nuclear terrorism and environmental warfare in the context of Russian war crimes in Ukraine.


Ganna Mamonova

Journalist and media manager originally from Luhansk. For more than a decade in the profession, she has covered the Russian invasion of East Ukraine, Maidan protests, and trials of Ukrainian politicians.


Viktoriia Balytska

Journalist with over 20 years of experience as a regional in-house correspondent on national TV channels (ICTV, NTN, Inter).


Svitlana Oslavska

Reporter, writer, and cultural researcher. Author of a book of reports from Turkey «Crescent, Cross and Peacock. Travels to Mesopotamia» and the book «Severodonetsk. Reports from the Past». Co-author of the documentary photo book «Old Khata Book».
