African journalists met with Volodymyr Zelensky as part of the "Connecting Continents" project. They discussed the Grain Deal, relations between Ukraine and Africa, direct dialogue without "Russian intermediaries" and Russian propaganda.

"I would like you to perceive information about Ukraine through yourselves. Not even through our official representatives. If you don't trust someone from us - perceive it through yourselves, through your journalists. Because it's essential to see with your own eyes what is happening here, the consequences of the war. To listen, to hear it not through the phone, not through the media, not through Lavrov", - Volodymyr Zelensky stated during the meeting.
