The scholarships for Ukrainian media and journalists: Public Interest Journalism Lab and European Centre for Press and Media Freedom announce a new Open Call for the Stipends support project in 2025

Public Interest Journalism Lab (PIJL), in cooperation with European Centre for Press and Media Freedom (ECPMF), announces a new Open Call for applications from Ukrainian independent regional media and journalists in 2025.
The Scholarship project is implemented within the framework of the Voices of Ukraine program. The program, led by the European Centre for Press and Media Freedom, is part of the Hannah-Arendt-Initiative and is supported by the German Federal Foreign Office.
Who can apply:
independent regional media outlets and journalists from the regions that are most affected by the hostilities;
Ukrainian media outlets and journalists in different emergency situations.
Required conditions:
you should have the professional experience of not less than 2 years;
to be located and work on the territory of Ukraine;
to create your own, unique journalistic content of the public interest.
This is an opportunity to receive the support:
for media outlets: the scholarship of 900 Euro monthly (in UAH equivalent by the current currency exchange rate) with a total amount up to 3600 Euro;
for individual journalists: the scholarship of 600 Euro monthly (in UAH equivalent by the current currency exchange rate) with a total amount up to 1800 Euro.
The deadline for applications is on October 05, 2025.
